Aloha, I could really use some help from all you smart men and women. I have a 2002 F350 4x4 Automatic with a 7.3. I was cruising down the road when all of the sudden I had smoke billowing out from under the dash. I pulled over and shut it down ASAP but couldn’t see where the smoke was coming from. The fire fizzled out and I continued on. Since then, I no longer have blinkers, cruise control and overhead display. I figured my best option was to replace the under dash wiring harness. I’m in Hawaii and parts are nearly impossible to find here. I found one on the mainland for a 2001 with the same options. After more than a month to receive it, I pulled the dash to replace it and realized the fuse box is completely different. It turns out the wiring was changed in 2002. I’m now in search of another harness that is compatible with my truck. I just found one off a 2003 but it has a 6.0 motor. Anyone know if these are interchangeable? I’d hate to get the wrong one again. Also, are the measures I’m taking to repair my truck the best direction? I thought I could repair the burnt wires but I can’t find them. Thank you in advance.
