Unhappy Gauge Cluster

Does anyone know if the individual gauge sections are available seperately? It looks like I need to replace the volt/fuel gauge section.

I picked up a gauge cluster, but the seller didn't know the year of it. After chasing electrical gremlins for several weeks (battery not charging - 2 batteries and 2 alternators later) I finally put my original cluster back in and it works fine.

But out of all this I did get a few of the things replaced on my list. I now have a 170 A 3G alternator from Motor City Reman and an Optima Red top battery. Now that I know the problem with the electrical system was completely unrelated, the install was incredibly easy. Just make sure you get the right mounting for the alternator.

the sections are replacable indepentant of one another..ie you can remove the oil/cooling or the fuel/alt gage..

The gauge sets are replaceable like Conemower said, in fact I just swapped clusters since mine was the one without the Tach and kept my Speedo so it still shows the corrrect mileage.

You're charging problem is because of the voltmeter, the 94 and up clusters are a different part than the 93 and down clusters. You probably got 92 or 93 cluster and put it in your 94 truck that is why you had a charging problem. I think a few other things change in 94 as well like RABS to ABS, Airbag Light, etc etc, it is best to try and match a 94 cluster to a 94 truck if you can.
