Hello everyone, I have a 2015 Ford F150 Lariat that my husband uses to tow our 28-foot travel trailer. This truck has everything for towing but the tow mirrors, I know it is a 22 pin. I would like to get my husband some new tow mirrors that have everything the present mirrors have, heated, folding etc. but for towing. Can anyone give me some help with this? I want something that he can replace himself without taking it to a dealer, and if we do get then done do we have to take the truck to a dealer to have any programming done? I just hate having to use clip on tow mirrors. Thanks for everyone help in advance!
Just make sure that is something he would want. I personally wouldn't like towing mirrors on my truck 24/7, I find them a bit large for my liking and style. The clip ons are a pain I agree, what ones do you have? I have these clip ons and really like them.
Maybe you will have better luck in the F150 forum. I've seen some F150's with the same towing mirrors that the super duties are fitted with at the factory so it has to be possible.
I feel your pain, my 2012 F150 only had the basic mirrors, and I hated using the clip on mirrors for towing, so I bought a second set of tow mirrors from amazon, and well they are great when towing, they suck in parking lots and day to day driving. I just swap mine out for camping season, so I install them in May, and put the stock small mirrors on in September! Makes a world of difference towing, and I have mastered pulling the door panels off in about 5 min each side!

I've considered this option too. Seems crazy, but then again, living with the tow mirrors from Sept-May seems crazy too. Hmmmm.....
On my previous 1/2 ton truck it had the tow mirrors from the factory. They were manual fold/extend. I broke the passenger one a couple times. I thought the solution was to buy power fold mirrors. They were a direct fit replacement, but it turned out that they were much smaller than the tow mirrors and were useless for towing. The tow mirrors were perfect for ensuring that I had no blind spots and I realized how good they were.
In my opinion, tow mirrors are superior to any other OEM style mirror. Talk to the F-150 guys that have towing mirrors and find out if they have the same features (power fold, heated) as your current mirrors. The top mirror is likely heated (if you buy the right mirror) but the convex lower mirror usually isn't heated.
I added the tow mirrors ; Manual fold extend but with heat , turn signal , puddle lights paid around $ 350 on Amazon 2 years go. I wouldn`t try and tow my trailer without them.
