New to Forums
I came here looking for help on my wife's Expedition (I drive a Freightliner) and she has developed a problem and it doesn't make sense to me, so here is the information:
2005 Expedition Eddie Bauer 4x2
eng: 5.4
The Problem:
3 round trips from Louisiana to Michigan.Total of 7872 miles
Knocking and rattling
Exp shows good oil pressure
NO oil on the dipstick
No oil leaks
4 quarts of oil to get it to show on the dipstick.
Knocking and rattling sounds all but gone except at the startup for a few seconds.
No oil change was done before or during any of the trips and no oil was added.
So now I need to find out how bad this is going to be or could be. It is still running strong, for now.

Welcome to FTE. It sounds like you "MAY" have gotten lucky. Some what, anyway.
However, this is the introduction section. You will get more responses in the section designated for your vehicle. In the upper left hand corner, you'll see the tab for "forums". Click it, go to Newer Light Duty Trucks. Click it. You'll see a section dedicated to your truck. Ask your question(s) there, or in the engines section.
Don't forget to check out you state chapter too.
