I have always loved the 73-79 trucks. I had a ‘79 F100 302 3 speed that I used as a work truck for a few years. She was pretty beat up. Recently I asked a neighbor About a F150 he had out in the field. Said it was his cousins and wasn’t for sale so I asked if he runs across any just let me know. He proceeded to tell me about an old ford in the woods at his grandpas home place. He said I could have it if I could get it out.
So off to the woods with the tractor and chainsaw.
I got it home And it did not look as good as it did in the woods. 28 years of sitting in the NC woods was not kind to the old girl. This would be more than I was willing to invest ($ and time)into this truck. So I kept asking around and ran into this truck. Not exactly what I was looking for but a nice truck. I’m more of a stock 2 wheel drive grandpas truck guy. This truck was built to be fast and sound fast. Body is in great condition with a few spots of surface rust. 351W has a a bunch of power and 4WD is solid. I will probably hold onto it a bit but will eventually sell or trade for a truck that fits me and my driving style better. Of course it will be a 70s Ford F100. Love this site. Has a ton of info, don’t even need to ask a question just need to search.
Nice to meet y’all.
Eric
