Sync 3-4

Is it possible to update sync 3 to the 4 system in a 2020 f250?

A 2020 F250 doesn't have Sync 4. It does have Sync v3.4 software. There are these threads about doing the software upgrade. Sync 4 will be available in the 2021 F150s, not sure when SDs will get it.

Sync 4 looks like it has a very large screen and the radio buttons and a/c controls get removed, integrated into the screen. Those are the two of things I really like about the current Sync system.

Actually,and luckily, Ford did retain the volume/tune and AC controls with Sync 4 (12" screen) at least on the 2021 F150.

ditto. I’ve had vehicles with only controls on the screen and it was annoying.
