Hello. I've been reading forums for a while, but am just getting to my first post. I bought a '56 F100 a couple of years ago to restore with my son. We have been (very slowly) working a while on this, and suffice to say, I am in over my head. Luckily, there appears to be someone who has an answer for most issues, so thanks to all who post, and double thanks to all who give answers.
Our truck had a V8 with a 4 speed. Apparently a farm truck from South Dakota. So far we have upgraded brakes, fixed some issues with the doors and windows. The original motor turned out to be solid, so we found another y-block, and it is waiting to be installed. We have several big issues and, many, many details I have yet to address (and probably find). Wish me luck. I'll need it!
