A Plan pricing

May need another vehicle soon. What is everyone's experience in negotiating better prices than the "A-Plan" and how much more discount were you successful in getting?https://www.carsdirect.com/deals-art...d-plan-pricing

A-Plan Pricing Calculation

Ford's A-Plan is intended for Ford employees. This is often considered to be the best possible deal out of Ford's discounted Plan offers.

How it's calculated: Invoice - Holdback - Advertising Fee + $275 program fee

Can I negotiate a price lower than Ford Plan Pricing?

Yes, it may be possible to negotiate a better price on your own in highly competitive markets. However, Ford's plan pricing tends to be exceptional and offers a simple buying experience.

The best way to approach this is by obtaining multiple quotes in your area so you know what local pricing looks like. Alternatively, the best dealers will review your options and let you know which is the best deal for your unique situation.

Plan pricing is administered by Ford and can be subject to change without notice. Be sure to check with your CarsDirect Trusted Dealer to confirm current rules and restrictions as well as to confirm eligibility.

If you are buying a Truck you can beat that.
If its a popular car, maybe not.

I know it's been detailed before, but can you guys (and gal) refresh my memory on where X Plan lands relative to invoice? I'm getting ready to order at invoice minus 1/2 holdback and need to know if I can do better.

X-Plan or Supplier/Partner pricing is usually a little under invoice, IIRC about $100. You still can get other available incentives on top of that discount. The way the plan is supposed to work is once you mention X-Plan, they turn you over to a Manager, like Fleet Manager, and the pricing is now fixed.

I qualify for X-plan and have done far better negotiating the price of the vehicle. Thousands of dollars better... We ordered our 2020 and got a heck of a deal, considering the factories had just started back up and there was literally No inventory. I lucked into making a contact at a large volume dealer who is THE New Sales Manager (the guy every deal is brought to).

Good luck on your order! Also note there is a sub-forum for the 2021s, might check what kind of pricing the folks up there are finding...
