Once and for all
Can someone tell me what instrument clusters fit what year model trucks, starting from the year 1980 to late 90's. I am really confused about this, and have heard many different things, and I really need the information. Thanks in advance.

80-86, but the guages for '80 are very slightly different in appearance. Also a cluster with oil pressure and amp guages won't directly plug into a harness from a truck that came with idiot lights, or vice versa.
87-91 should interchange. There may be slight variations, I don't know.
92-96 will interchange, but the wiring for the voltmeter changed somewhere around 93 or 94. You may need to do some minor rewiring if you swap those years.
Those are just from what I know. I won't guarentee everything I mentioned as there could be other little differences between years.
