I’m having trouble getting the right parts for the Spindle set (steering knuckles) to my 48 F1. I keep getting the car version of the set. Does anyone know where I can buy a new set? Or find someone who can correctly rebuild my current ones? Thanks again for any help.
Yeah I’ve seen the Kingpin sets at Dennis Carpenter, LMC and such. However mine seems to have a third large bushing on the lower drivers side, where the spindle arm goes in, that’s not available in the kits. This picture is fuzzy due to the fan blowing but you can see the difference.
I'm wondering if your truck has a '53 - '56 axle, the 48-52's don't look like that. I can't think of any reason for either of them to have a bushing, there is no motion at all in that joint.
