Be real careful that the thermostat and gasket are correctly in the housing, if the edge of the thermostat slips in between the housing and block you will likely stress and crack the housing. Dummy mistake number 4,463,859 I have previously committed.

It's our site, so pardon the shameless plug, but we've carried them for a long time and I happen to know they're there!
This is the standard old style, vs the more vertical outlet of the newer 5.0 EFI type. But should be correct for your truck with a 302 based engine.
It's the stock aluminum (not chrome like the latest pic looks) with a threaded boss at the top for a temp sensor/fan controller or whatever.
If you have the Inline-6 engine, not sure what you'd need.
Is yours all corroded to death? Or have some other issue?
