Unhappy Electrical Gremlins

OK I'm at my wits end. All my lights to include brake and turn signals work great with the headlights off. When I turn the headlights on all the lights come on but when I hit the brake the left brake light completely shuts off, same thing with the left rear turn signal. Replaced and switched all bulbs, checked the ground up front on both headlights, all wires and plugs are intact. Anyone have any insights into this perplexing quandry?

Stinky,
Did they just start doing this? By that I mean they were working, and you have not messed with anything. If so, then you might be chasing a faulty ground.
Does your battery ground cable go to the cab or to the engine?
Is there a ground strap going from the cab to the engine?
Does taking a jumper wire and going straight from the battery ground post to the headlight ground pigtail make any difference?
If they never worked, and you are trying to get this working the first time, well, then time to get out the wiring diagram and a meter.
Good Luck!
Brett
