is full synthetic 5-40 still the preferred oil to run for summer and winter months. My driving is winter months mostly hunting and summer is pulling camper, boat, and horse trailer usually about 5-6k miles a year so usually change oil once a year. Is the 5-40 still just as good as 15-40 in the summer heat towing
Yea Ive been using mobil 15-40 for awhile. Use to use John Deere all the time til they wanted $100 or more for a bucket
Sorry, I should have been more specific - I was referring to Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w 40. Lots of folks running 5W 40 Synthetic all year round in all conditions...
I've ben running 5-40 for years no problems quieter in winter months on cold start ups and you still have the 40 weight for warmer weather, the biggest advantage is quicker flow cold
