Alright just looking for some advice on a couple things. A few months ago truck feels like it quit fueling and leaves me stranded... long story short I got an auto enginuity Ford enhanced bundle from Riffraff and got a P1211 code (if I remember the number correctly) anyway turned out I replaced the IPR and ICP and truck ran well and didn’t have any more problems. A few days ago started doing the same thing. Chugging back and forth and not fueling but I just let the transmission and wheel speed keep the motor going till it picks up again So I don’t get stranded. I’m starting to think my HPOP is giving up. I’m gonna try to test it with my AE tomorrow after work. It does fine at idle and normally WOT but cruising at a speed or normal acceleration it’ll chug back and forth. So. I’m gonna test hpop tomorrow if possible. Just looking for any other ides of what I should do or where to look. Also fuel pressure is good on the gauge always and IPR and ICP are motor craft from Riffraff in about may I believe.
just hoping to get any ideas if I’m thinking the right thing. Thanks for any help
My computer died before it started acting up ( I’ve noticed it only happens when it warms up)
so I will be at it again tomorrow with a fully charged computer and hopefully will be able to find something because I’m not sure which part of this to look at
So did some more testing today. 3100psi is in my daily driver low tune. I didn’t get a chance to see what it was in a hotter tune. I unplugged my ipr today and ICP to check for oil in the connectors and there was nothing. So I hooked up and drove for about 45 minutes and I just got back. The whole time it didn’t act up at all!!! Could my problem be caused by a dirty connection on my ipr or ICP? I’m going to clean those next. I’ll attach a picture of wot I think in 3rd at about 3000rpm that I got last night. I’m hoping that’ll tell you what you’re wondering
HPOP holding 3000psi at full power with a mild tune seems fine to me. Mine was tuned to do 2700 or so on tow tune, stock injectors. Hot street is 3200, old pump flopped to about 1700. IPR numbers dropped with new pump too.
Ever checked to see if your PCM connector is snug? Or IDM? May as well clean them with Deoxit too. And that 42 pin guy by master cylinder.
Ignition switch could be dying too. Could try to jiggle key next time truck stalls or whatever it does.
Stage one injectors and new hydra chip in may. Hot tune was about 3200 psi I believe also. I just got in from checking the ipr plug and cleaning it. Took a good look at it. I could not see any metal.... sprayed and cleaned with toothpick and got it nice and shiny. I couldn’t believe how much crap came out of it
Alright.... went out after lunch and plugged the ipr back in after cleaning it and got ready to start it now it won’t start at all. Any ideas what I did?
