Steering Pump?
As always when I have a problem I search the past posts looking for the answer. This time I can't find it, well..... I've read the recent Quest post, but again no answer. My '56 f-100 has a Volarie IFS and is powered by a 351C. I'm currently using a mopar (Saginaw) pump on a make-shift bracket. The pulleys don't line up and it makes noise and sometimes looses the belt. It sounds like no one knows the pressures needed for the Volarie or the output of different pumps, but is anyone successfully using a ford pump with the Volarie. I’m thinking about getting the pump/bracket/pulley from a 351c car and using it since the pulleys will line up correctly. I read posts stating that there could be problems burning up the gear or pump. Is this fact or theory?
Thanks in advance

Lot's of people are running the Ford-Mopar combo with no reported problems. I haven't burned anything up yet either, but I do think I have some evidence the Ford pump is putting out more pressure than necessary. We'll get a qood answer to this question but there isn't anyone here that can state any pressure specs, and back them up. Yet.
