New to Ford World
looking for some van information sites as well... not very lucky here.. any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks,
Jeb
The transmission could be a couple different ones. You didn't say whether it was an automatic or a manual. It could be about 3 different kinds of each.
The rear axle is either a Dana 60 or a sterling 10.25 (not sure when they started with those - '85 seems about right) and it could either be a full floating or semi-floating axle.
Sorry I can't be of more help - post the door post codes for the tranny and rear axle and you'll get more information. Also post the VIN and we can tell you what motor you have. Assuming of course that nothing has been swapped out.
Any help is greatly appreciated..
Jeb
As for the rear gears, again, you will need to post the axle code from the door. You can also crawl under the truck as the ratio will be printed on a tag on one of the bolts. Do a search for it, and you will have an idea of what format the numbers are in.
There's no such thing as a 'stock' gear ratio. There are a lot of choices.
