88 302 possible fuel system issues
Have an 88 F-150 302. My sonsTruck cranked and ran for a few seconds then died and wouldn’t start back up. He tried again about an hour later same thing. When I got home from work the truck cranked and ran fine. He said it acted like it didn’t have gas. Would the fuel pump starting to go out act like this? Starting with the easy stuff like filters, relays, etc. before I jump into the big money stuff.

before you throw your wallet at it, when you turn the key to on(not trying to start) do you hear fuel pump run for 1-2 seconds, then check fuel pressure, check for codes, even if CEL(check engine light) isnt on, could have stored codes
