89 won’t start
Have an opportunity to buy an 89 bronco that’s in pretty good shape, but it won’t start. It turns over, but won’t fire up. When you turn the key halfway you cannot hear the fuel pump come on. So evidently the pumps are not coming on at all. I’m just trying to understand how much this could potentially cost to fix. Does anyone know the worst case $$$ scenario of fixing this problem? By the way it runs if you spray starting fluid directly into the intake, but then it dies.

There are dozens of causes for not powering up the fuel pump when cycling the key from the Off to Run position. Could be as simple as a tripped inertia switch. The price tag goes up from there.
