Are you guys trying to tell me that my Commodore 128 isn't up to the task of editing? Naive as I may be in the world of computer hard and software, I have exchanged many texts across the ether. Supplied as most consumers are with the standard microsoft works word, I have exchanged files with my daughter in college and nary a hitch. Could it be that yahoo is not my best bet for file transfer? I'll shoot you some of my edited files via aol or hotmail if this seems like the way to go. I did look at saving files as doc. and txt. files. What in the world are you guys using? We are surely in the model T days of computers. Or is it me and my Commodore? himmelberg
Save them as .doc files. That is MS Word. We all seem to be using some version of Microsoft Word. I thought you were typing them in Russian and we were just too stupid to read them. That's a relief.
man you got to move into Gatesville. Although it will except a common txt file, Word much prefers the terribly over packed records it creates... drop me a line and I'll burn you a bootleg copy of word2000 or office XP... I'll just scan in a check and email Bill a copy for the dues...
Commodore 128 eh ??? my first was a 64 that I swapped an atari for...
art teacher ??? I thought you scholarly types lived in Mac world
When exchanging files between unknown capabilities it is best to use Rich Text Format - .RTF
When completed the final doc can be saved in the proper format.
