Pushing it too far
So the other day I was driving to hockey game in Roanoke with two other car loads. My bro has a camaro, so it's not uncommon for us to play around on the road. So we hit this one straightaway, a little downhill, and he had been flicking me off and stuff, so I passed him and we went at it. Judging by his speedo I hit a solid 105. He has V6, so I lost, but not all that bad. Anyhow, so I had my fun (acted like a fool), but as soon as I started slowing to normal highway speed, the ol' check engine light blinks for a little and pops on. It's still on. Just curious what it could be, judging by what I had just done, if anyone has any guesses. I don't have much time to mess with it.

Probably blew enough crud out of the engine to confuse the O2 sensor. May have dislodged some hunk of carbon or something and it stuck on the sensor. Hard to tell without pulling the codes. I'd truthfully start there.

disconect the batery for 10-15 mins. to reset it. then drive it, if it comes back on the you may have a potential problem, if it dont come back on then most likely you just confused the ecm when you run the crap out of it.
