EEC HANDBOOK VERS 6 Jeff Thorsell
EEC HANDBOOK VERS 6 Jeff Thorsell
Does anyone have this handbook that would be willing to share, copy or allow me to copy. (Not for free of course)
If you google EEC Handbook Version 6 /HTML you'll see what I am talking about.
I'm not sure what has happened to Mr. Thorsell. I can't seem to contact him through any of the links that he provides on his Intro page, including the email.
This publication looks like something all of us would be interested in.
Thanks again for everyone who contributes to this site. I have learned a lot just in my short history as a member.

Thank you again, Subford. I found them both easily on Amazon.
I'm still interested in the Thorsell Handbook. His sample pages that are still available on the internet make the full version look like it would be great!

Just sayin'.
Thank you for the heads up. Glad to know about the Probst books though...at least the Thorsell sample led me to ask you for help. Again FTE comes through! In my previous posts I've stated that I have several functional but need work F350's 1988-1995.
I plan to work on all of them (it's on my bucket list).
The F350 that I am working on at the moment is my first attempt (1995 F350 7.5 GAS) I hope by the end of this journey I get a lot better at this. I figured that learning and understanding the EEC IV would be a good start since they all should have the OBD I and EEC III or IV.
Right now, getting ready to send the PCM to Crash test dummy for an eval. I'm optimistic, always.
Read the 88-93 book from front to back & then with e-bay available factory manuals on discs for your specific vehicles your should be able to analyse/troubleshoot/repair any thing of this generation.
Note that in 1994 and newer Ford trucks went to CCD in both the ICM and the PCM.
ICM: Ignition Control Module: The module that controls the ignition system. Black in Color with the CCD PCM.
CCD: Computer Controlled Dwell.
PCM: Powertrain Control Module: The module that controls the EEC system.
EEC: Electronic Engine Control: The system that provides electronic control of engine operation.
EEC-IV: Ford's fourth generation EEC system.
