Hey there! Has anyone actually purchased a new Ford Superduty with a 7.3 gas engine???? I don't want a diesel, and all I can seem to find are 6.2 and 5.0 gas engines!! Thanks for listening ! Dale

I like it. But I had reasonable expectations going in what it was going to be.
The internet hyped it all up calling it Godzilla and whatever.
It's just a big slow doggy gas engine. The selling point is CHEAP and RELIABLE.
Mine is pretty zippy and nimble, especially compared to my last two diesels. They weren't bad at all, but this 7.3 has some pep and is less tank-feeling.

Yeah really... slow and doggy would be the last thing I would use to describe this engine. Maybe its because of the 4.30 gears but my 7.3 feels really light on its feet, similar to a 3.5TT F150.
Thanks for all the input!! I have learned the 7.3 is for sale in California! I am just about ready to order an F250 XL Supercab with a 7.3 and 10 speed and 4:30 screw. Sounds like a puller !! Thanks again !! Dale

Have 6500 miles on mine. 4500 miles of it is from towing a 8000# TT. Gas mileage towing is around 9.3 mpg towing. 14.5 combined empty. Drives and tows well. I have 3.73 rear end have no problems with my light TT.
