Yes. 1998 and 1999 Expeditions both used a 5 x 135mm bolt pattern.

BTW, be aware that beginning in 2000, the diameter of the wheel lugs was increased, making swapping wheels on pre-2000 to 2000-2002 applications a potential problem.

Ford recommends not swapping, but the studs went from 12 mm to 14 mm and the wheels are interchangable without problems between the years.....I've done it with buddy's and I also have two sets of wheels/tires for my Expy (1 12mm set and 1 14 mm set).

Of course you know, the '03's got all new lug patterns.

The only thing I don't like about using post-1999 factory rims on 1997-99 models is the idea of fitting wheels set up for 14mm lugs on 12 mm lugs. My worry is that the wheels would rotate (shift) a little bit on the hubs during acceleration or braking, particularly since the lug nuts have a flat bearing (not conical) surface.

Would anything happen as a result? Got me.

I kinda worried about that too until and friend and I swapped wheels and tires one day...he's got 14 mm lugs and I've got 12 mm (both on 2000 Expys) yet the wheel holes were the same size on all eight wheels.......go figure.
