One step forward and three steps back. With my left heel, I am hoping that it is something easy to take care of without surgery. If it does end up the surgery root, that is taking me back about 5 steps and then the recovery will take a long time.
When I do not have a wound, I have been wearing regular foot wear with my custom inserts. I have been going on a regular basis to get adjustments made to the inserts to get them just right. The right one is there now but I am not sure if the left one is there or if that is creating pressure that is causing the wounds. So we are kinda on hold with that. Right now I am wearing the heel off loading shoe to keep the pressure off along with the gel that stimulates wound healing. I go back on Wednesday to see him and even if it is healed up, I already know that I will be wearing the off loader for at least another 2 weeks.
