Are you enjoying the 7.3? I really debated long and hard about that one.....ended up ticking the 6.7 after driving both back to back. We also have a ~9500lb TT. I really love my F-150, but it's just not got the weight to be comfortable for the long hauling we do (3500 miles so far this year).
I wanted to like the 7.3 but I didn't feel it brought a lot more to the table than my 3.5 EB, except low end delivery which was more akin to my old 2012 6.2 GMC. I also have to commute the truck 70 miles a day when it's not camper towing, so the diesel seemed the way to go. I enjoyed commuting my 05 DMAX more than any of my other trucks, and I was worried the early mileage reports on 7.3 w/ 3.73 weren't great.

All in, I think I'll be able to swallow this pill because we do intend to take the kids out west from the east coast over the next few years, and I think climbing the mountains out west we will really appreciate the diesel....probably sell the whole set up in 5 years and go back to a boat anyways :-)
Coming from the 17 6.7 I notice the difference for sure. I can tell you though, the 7.3 doesnt have to work hard at all until you get a good hill. 70 mph flat land, truck wasnt even working and was usually in 9th or 10 gear. On bigger hills I get downshifts to 4th or 5th, most small hills it kicks down to 6th. Its a different animal than the 6.7, the torque "curve" is so flat it drives different towing. In the 6.7 I was always waiting for the turbo to spool. I guess it feels much smoother pulling our camper with the 7.3. The only thing I miss, is the engine brake on the 6.7.
