Chip or Programmer

Wondering what you guys use & have used as far as Chips & Programmers. I really dont want to start popping out & installing chips so i'm kinda leaning towards a programmer.

I'd go with the programmer. Very easy to use and way more flexibile as far as options go. Plus you can read and clear your computer codes (comes with a book that defines code #'s). I bought a brand new Superchips Microtuner 1705 (latest edition w/ 3 program modes) from ebay for $279.99 US. You just can't beat that! I just looked on ebay and there are some going for around $357.00. Good Luck!

I too would go with the programmer, but not the Superchips programmer. I say that because the Diablo Predator can be updated. That way if a new program comes out, you don't have to buy a whole new tuner. Sure you don't get hp/torque ratings as high as the SCMT, but you have an "insurance policy" for future updates. Something I failed to mention was that the SCMT is much less expensive than the Diablo Predator, but I think it's worth the extra money. This is just my opinion/ $.02.

if it were me making the purchase...I'd go with the tuner because of the fact that you can also pull the codes. Two for the price of one.....and who knows what you'll be able to update with them later on.
