95 F150 XLT rear axle

If one of you members have the parts interchange Bible as I call it would let me know what is the latest year that the rear axle would fit under my 95 XLT. Even if I had to modify it a little. Thought maybe if a late 2010 or newer would work I'd get one from a wrecking yard . Thanks

Are you still wanting it to run your speedo and trans if you have an automatic?
Pretty sure tone ring tooth count changed after the 8.8 went away. So even if you physically got one to fit, you may run into a problem getting the speedo to work.
Any specific reason you want to go to a different axle?

The 8.8 is still being used in the smaller/lighter F150 combos(reg cab 2wd) but with a different bolt pattern and attachment points so those versions won't work here, but it continued into the late '90s and early 2000 in the F150 where it was equipped with disk brakes at some point so there are possibilities.. I'm not sure when the bolt pattern changed. The E150 used the axle too and it went unchanged(same 5x5.5 bolt pattern) until about 2004 when it got disk brakes, but shortly after that Ford started using the Dana 60 in all E series trucks so there aren't many of those around. I don't think a van would be a good candidate for a complete axle though, unlike a pickup these trucks spend most of their life loaded and overloaded and typically rack up very high milage so any axle you find would be worn and need a complete rebuild, but a truck that was in a front end accident with relatively low milage would be a good find.

I was thinking about just sliding another one under there instead of rebuilding mine. The right side slides in and out about 3/16 of a inch and has highway whine. I guess I'd better plan on rebuilding mine, with my kind of luck I'd probably end-up with an axle in worse shape than mine.
