I'm going to change the oil in the limited slip differential on my 96 Explorer. The tag on the cover says to use 75W-140 synthetic, so I'm using Mobil 1 75W-140 synthetic. The Mobil website says this:
Recommended for many limited slip applications. For certain high level LS applications, additional limited slip additive may be required if axle chatter is observed.
Any opinions on whether I should use the additive or not?
