Question Limited slip additive?

I'm going to change the oil in the limited slip differential on my 96 Explorer. The tag on the cover says to use 75W-140 synthetic, so I'm using Mobil 1 75W-140 synthetic. The Mobil website says this:

Recommended for many limited slip applications. For certain high level LS applications, additional limited slip additive may be required if axle chatter is observed.

Any opinions on whether I should use the additive or not?

Drive it without and if you experience "chatter" put some in. I know this won't be popular here, but the GM additive works best.

Right, you actually want to use as little of the additive as possible in order to have maximum limited slip action.

The only problem is, there's usually no drain plug, so don't fill it up to the brim and then try to put the additive in!
