solids on a hyd cam

can you run solid lifters on a hydrolic cam shaft???

From what I have been told it is not a good idea, you should use a hydraullic cam with hydraulic lifters and solid cam with solid lifter as the cam is designed for each lifter design. Later

NO! There is no ramp to take up the slack in the lash, and you CANNOT run solid lifters without lash. If you ran solid lifters on a hyd. cam, I would be VERY surprised if it survived the breakin period.

I talked to CompCams and my cam shop down the street from where I live and they both said you can use solids on a hydraulic cam. As with all solids you need ajustable rockers, should be ok, but I've not tried it yet.
