Radiator support pad
Hey guys,

I have a 55 f100. Im putting the front sheet metal back together and know there was a pad under the radiator support between it and the frame.

i looked at my parts cd and found part 8124, which appears to be the one i need. All i can find is its 2"x5" but need to know thickness and material.

I have seen these on mid-fifties website but dont want to make an order for this one part if i can just make it at home.

Yeah i saw a couple places sell them, i had some 1/8in steel lying around so figured i could make one if it was the right thickness

If it's the same piece I'm thinking of, it is made of rubber.

3M filler spreaders work great. Readily available from local vendors, inexpensive, and durable.

I cut a couple of pieces from an old tire carcass for mine. Worked fine.
