New guy here. Here for knowledge and to share. I’m rebuilding a 84 F150 I6. The truck is my father in-law’s and has been sitting dead for a while but was always garage kept. Needs rebuilt engine and transmission and all the lines replaced of course. My father in law has been battling lung cancer that has spread to his brain for a about 4 months. They gave me the truck since I have always loved it. My wife and her brothers learned to drive with the truck and have a lot of fond memories with it. It will take a while to rebuild, but once it’s complete I’m giving it back to help keep his memory alive. Hope to catch some pointers here.
Welcome to FTE. As you look around, you'll find several forums that will be specific to your needs. From engines to electronics to transmissions. And one that include the 84 F series too.
Welcome to the forum! Thanks for joining us. A lot of good info here regarding mods in case you are thinking of doing any. Check out some of the garages and you may get some ideas. Good luck with your project!

Wow, great thing for you to do! Sorry to hear about your father in law. I've had a good deal of family experience in that area. I wonder if it is in bad enough shape to need a rebuilt engine and transmission, usually the garage-kept ones aren't badly beaten and worn out and the inline-6 will go hundreds of thousands of miles with some basic maintenance.
