I have I have a 95 f150 and it has a realy bad pop/creek when i give it gas from a stop. It creeks realy bad when I hold the brake and give it gas. I think it is the left control arm. the big bushing is shot and it moved a ton wwhen my bro held the bake andgave it gas. How can i replace thoes is it hard, and how expensive is the bushing. thanks alot.
One other noise maker on the font suspension for the Fords is a loose lower shock mount bolt and nut . It may seam tight but you need to tighten them good with a air impact wrench.
Been through both of your scenarios. The popping is caused (a lot of times) by the rivets in the frame. When I bought mine new, the rivets were replaced for the same reason you describe. Seems to me there is even a TSB on this.
As for the radius arm bushings, I blew my rivets off with the torch, and dropped the radius arm bracket. Then replaced the bolts with grade 8 bolts (maybe should'a used grade 5; a little bit more flexible). MUCH easier than removing the radius arm itself. Made a big difference in the ride.
