Question Cargo Lights

The truck bed lights constantly turn on and off by
themselves when engine isn't on. When the engine
is turned on they stop flashing and work normally.
Shut the engine back down and they start flashing
again. This went on for about 4 hours and now
they work perfectly fine as if there was no problem.
What could cause that? Do not have a bed switch

Welcome to the forums.

If you don't have a bed switch how are they activated? Sounds like they are not stock - may be ringing out to see where they get power and ground from.

I should have been more specific its the lights on the cab on each side of the 3rd brake light, and now the hazard lights are coming on by themselves also

Maybe a door switch? Those lights typically come on each time a door is opened, then go off when the door is closed, correct? Maybe the switch is going bad causing the circuit to think the door is being repeatedly opened then closed?
