Treating/Cleaning leather interior....
Anyone have any advice on this? I'll be driving my Lariat ext. cab 4x4 w/ tan leather interior in 4-6 weeks(yippee). I want to keep the leather looking new forever and this will be my first leather interior vehicle. Do they make anything you can treat it with (like a scotchgaurd type product) that will prevent spills/scuffmarks from hurting the leather? Please advise..............

Zaino makes some great products too. I have been using it on my 04 tan lariat interior. I think Ford does have some type of coating on the leather already to resists stains so it should just need to been cleaned and conditioned regularly.

Daneo, Your signature says you are open to questions so maybe you can help me with this. The literature says the lariat has the "flow thru console". What exactly does ford mean by that. is it fresh air coming thru the console or ? also, i see the lariat has white gage face. I am used to the traditional green back lighted ford gages. how do the white gages look at night. And easy on the eyes during the day? thanks, kw p.s. i use lexol conditioner and the cleaner (2 different products) on my wife's lexus and lexol is a great product.

10-12 years down the road.....
I'm just curious how this interior will look in 10-12 years. Thats how long I plan on keeping this truck if I get it. After using it for hunting/fishing etc.... I think in that amount of time it may look pretty bad. Wrinkled leather always looks good but when you get that dirt mixed in with the wrinkles on LIGHT colored leather that won't come off it just looks terrible. Thanks all for your responses......

03f150man,
Sorry for the delayed response. The flow through console does have two air vents that target the rear seats, however I believe Ford is using the term to reflect the fact that the console flows between the front two passengers. There is an option to add the captain's chairs in place of the bench. With this option, you get the Gear Selector, cup holders, center storage, etc... between the two seats.
As for the gauges, they are reverse lighted. During the day they are a nice cream-faced guage, but at night the cream looks black and the number illuminate. Very slick indeed.
Hope this helps.

dan, i have factory buckets in my 97 f150 xlt supercab so i am used to that but still not too sure what the ford literture means by "first in class flow thru" console. one thing i really like about my 97 is that console. No itty bitty thing either, it holds a bunch of stuff. Thanks for the info.
