i have an 86' ranger with a 2.3l. I have 12v running to the frame rail fuel pump but it will not work i took the pump off and tested on a battery and it work.I checked the inertia switch it was not flipped and i have 12v there.Help

Did you check the ground for the pump?

 

I ran wires off an alternite battery and it runs while its on the frame.I did that and tryed to start it and realized i have no spark either i changed the coil and the condenser.It has new plug wires and distrubutor.

Have you checked for codes, they might help with finding the cause of the no spark.
