2005 f350 Ac

So i replaced the ac compressor, condenser, orifice, and dryer. Vacuum it down to 30 everything went good. Went to charge the ac and 1.5 cans of freon went to 250 lbs, shut ac down. Recovered ac checked for blockage can blow air thru everything. Do you think bad compressor?

At 85 degrees with the engine running and A/C on Max/recirculate you should see 45-55 psi on the low pressure gauge and 225-250 psi on the high pressure gauge. At this point the system is full, and if you add more refrigerant the system will quit working. Good luck, Russ
P.S. don't forget the PAG oil.

I only had 1.5 cans in with new system, and that was 250 on the low side. Also after recovering i never could get it to vacuum down to 10 lbs.

If it's making 250psi there is nothing wrong with the compressor. Either there is something in the orifice tube or the condenser is getting to hot because of lack of air flow. I find most of these trucks I take apart have debris on the face of the radiator, which restricts airflow, then usually the inside of the fins is full of debris you can only see when the radiator is out.

This isnt over heating radiator. It my ac. My ac took a dump so i replaced with new compressor, orifice tube, dryer, condenser. 8 oz of oil and started putting in freon when 1.5 cans it went to 250 on the low side of the gauges. So i stopped and recovered and looked for blockage nothing. Then went to vacuum down but wouldn't go past 5 lbs

also, give it time. Stop, take a break, come back evacuate again, and repeats. How do you disconnect the hose without introduce air into the system? Even a quick connect cause air entry

Check the o-rings on the couplers on the machine, the correct o-rings can be hard to get, you may need to replace the coupler if that's the leak.
