Nothing going on but working right now. Going to try and get a new battery for the 79 this week. Work has been insane.

Last work day of the week!!
We have been doing yard work and other chores around the house since Tuesday, just trying to get everything done before the weekend. The sister in-law is coming to visit so we plan on just relax around the pool instead of working over the long holiday weekend.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We stayed home and the mom in-law and sister in-law with her 3 kids came over. We played in the pool and shot our own fireworks. We cooked out last year and it was a strain on the wife trying to cook for everyone so we just ordered pizza this year, a lot easier on her.

After hours of research I found the tires I am going to be putting on the motorhome. $2,093.00 for a set of 6 and that's NOT installed. Going to take the one tire we had put on by the side of the road and put it in the storage compartment under the rig as a spare.

Ordered the tires for the motorhome today, with tax it came out to $2300 and some change. Holy jesus I'm glad I only have to buy them every 7 or 8 years. That's about the same price the tires for the Hummer will be when they need replacing so I guess it's not too bad. Better than sitting on the side of the road for hours. I have no idea why someone would put 5 ply tires on a class A motorhome. I guess I should be glad we didn't have more tire issues.

We are still in Tx .It HOT out here actual temp 100. Have spent alot of time with the kids. Celebrated my birthday with all the kids. We all went to the stockyards watch the longhorn cattle drive down main street ( 10 steers). It was kinda sad very few people out but it was a Wednesday . You have to wear a mask everywhere(statewide $300.00 fine). Places are open. Our daughter and sil took us to dinner at a local steak house. Friday spent the day with son helping him on his mom truck. That night we went to dirt track. The had a decent car count except for hot stock (2) 29 sprint cars, 15 IMCA mods 18 stock. Saturday we all had a late lunch at sons. He smoked a brisket and 4 racks of ribs. We made homemade peach ice cream ( we brought the peaches with us) then went to watch fireworks. Yesterday was a me and Debra day, Showed her places I use to live and we went to a few rv dealers to research a new trailer. Took Debra to a western store. Today we going to daughters house (got to do laundry) then tonight dinner with sister. Dinner with son tomorrow. Start head home Wednesday

All this is new to Debra she is having a fantastic time. All the kids and grandkids love her. Her and my daughter have really connected.
Gas is higher than diesel. There is no oil or gas drilling going one.

We visited Dallas probibly close to 10 years ago. We went to the stockyard, ate at a steakhouse there. We saw where JFK was shot and the book depository. Interesting history lesson and pretty cool to see it all in person. Big inspection Wednesday from corporate, double checking everything to make sure it's all good before they come.

The new tires should arrive at my work on Thursday. The semi truck place down the road from us wants close to 4 hundred dollars to install them. One of the guys at work use to do semi tires for a living and he said buy this tool off Amazon for $100 and a 12 ton low profile jack from harbor freight and we can put them on. I'm all for saving money but not sure if I really want to mess with the tires.

I bought that tool. Gave it to a friend I could not get it to work for me. May have been the tires. Does he have the 1 " impact? 400 is 66.66 per tire.

My lead mechanic said we can get them put on, no problem. He does have the impact we would need. We have the jack and stands at work so I think we are good, just waiting on the tires now. He changed semi tires for a living for about 2 years before joining John Deere.
Big inspection today at work from corporate, just a little nervous.

hope the inspection went well. It looks likes we may be moving back to TX. This was a healing trip for all the years of damage done by Lexie. We are at famcamp at Barksdale Afb LA not bad full hook ups 20.00,

I was stationed here hooked up with my old boss last night. He had a bunch of stuff from the KC 10 it was good to reminisce.

More about the trip. Debra fell in love with all the kids and grandkids as they did her. The never interacted with Lexie the way they did with her. There were no arguments or fight this time. All 11 of us had a great time together plus we spent time separately. My son in law told me some he never said we were welcome there any time. Debra was upset we had to leave. We started talking on the way here. We both agreed the only thing tying us to Ga is my mom, who sadly is not going to be here much longer. As for as ties to Fl her son is the biggest reason and he stay for a not so good reason.
Both kids said they would visit more if we were closer.
Texas is veteran friendly. We are praying about it.

It went good, mainly looked at the numbers over the last year.
Flew out of Barksdale many times when I was stationed at Ft Polk.

I live in North West and Hugh lives south west. Not unless one of the peepers does and can help you out.
The new RV tires arrived today, they had a build date code of July 20. These things are so new they smell fresh off the press! Tire tool won't be in till Wednesday next week so I have a little time.

yes we are moving to the Ft Worth area maybe Decatur, Springtown, Boyd something close but not in Ft Worth. We may have to rent a place for a couple of years. Got to talk to mom about this place. She had mentioned putting it in mine and her name. We are going try to sell most everything: dump truck, sawmill, tractor attachments and trailer as package, the side by side, the woodworking toolls and land
We are going to mill the logs that are down to finish this house.

I guess that is good news! I would like to move back to central Florida but I am good at living here too.
Worked on the steps of the motorhome yesterday after work and got them moving in and out when you open the door again. They just needed a good lube and tap of a hammer. I also filled the house batteries with water too.
