Fuel Gauge ??
I go to back my F8 out of the shop now it's fuel gauge is pegged (it showed 1/2 )
yesterday: whats this April fools or midnight shop gremblins?????

It could be a bad wire or connection, but more likely the sending unit in the tank needs to be replaced.

I say it’s sending unit. On my 1955 when I touched sending wire from gauge to sender it went straight to full.

No it wasn't the sender, on these the wire goes over the top of the passenger door. So
I just ran a new wire from gauge to sender all is now good. Looks like factory clips finally pinched the cloth wire.
