False overheating....pulling a load temp gauge will peg out....reduced engine power warning....I can push clutch in and turn key off count to 10 turn key back on and everything is back to normal. I’ve changed thermostats and temp sensor.

Reason: Add issues
If it indicates overheating it is most likely overheating. Shutting it off and restarting sounds like it is just clearing the issue temporarily.
How did you refill the cooling system and did you ensure all the air was out of the system. If not trapped air will do this.
Best way is use the vacuum system and pull a vacuum on the cooling system and use that to fill. That's what I did and never had an issue. I don't know who might rent one but worth checking at different parts store.
What I was thinking, maybe O'Riely's also. I bought one for my own use, works great on my 6.7 in the truck and for my Bronco, I quit having issues with it also since I started using it.
