NEED HELP!! I have a 2016 F-150 3.5 ecoboost with 85,000 miles that I JUST bought used... Yesterday driving home the orange wrench popped up on the dash and the notifications enter read something like “Read manual”. Within 3 seconds the wrench and the warning went away... I thought it was weird but carried on... As I stopped at a red light, i noticed the truck wouldn’t shift below 3rd gear. I was at a complete stop in 3rd gear. It did this 2 more times at complete stops until finally I pulled over, shut the truck off, started it back up and it went back to normal, shifting and driving fine. Today, it did the same thing, wouldn’t shift under 3rd gear, repeat said process and now it does fine... I got home and checked the codes and got a “Po720” code. After some research I saw it could be the output shaft speed sensor... Could this be the culprit? I’m sure it has to be something stupid like a loose sensor or a wire shortage being it does it intermittently.
That code is from metal in the transmission fluid normally. Which is why its suggested to service these every 60k. The truck will most likely need a fluid change and a valve body swap as worst case.

Metal shavings.... Nice lol. I’ll get it flushed today. Thanks!
