Heater Coolant Flow Control Assembly
I was in the process of replacing my thermostat (takes forever to warm up) on a 1985 E350 6.9L diesel and came across this 2-prong unit bent and disconnected from the harness. I'm thinking it might be the heater coolant flow control assembly as shown below, but I cannot find any reference in the manuals as to what it does or any other reference. The wire gauge is heavy so it must take some current. Does anyone know what it is and if I should replace it and reconnect it?
