hello,
the gas and temp gauge do not work.
the front gas tank was removed but the truck runs no matter where i have the tank switch positioned.
fuses are good.
i have been told it could be the ground wire
on top of the gas tank.
before i drop the tank, i would like to get more info and possibilities.

Hi -- temp gauge gets its signal from a sender on the engine block. You need to find it and make sure wire is still connected on it and test the sender too. Probably should drop tank and look carefully at the wires and make sure they aren't cut or routed incorrectly, since front tank has been deleted.

i will get to it. i guess i cannot avoid dropping tank. the older i get the less excitement there is about the bigger jobs. this week i am doing front shocks and rear wheel cylinders.
i love my truck so much so i have to love taking good care of her.
