have a 17 F350 XL. It bought it used. It has a Sync system and a backup camera, but the camera does not work. I'm trying to trace wiring out.
First, the wiring at the camera seems to be sound.
Rear Camera connections, white, Violet./white, Brown, White/green, green, Gray.
Then I pulled the 54 pin connector at the Sync unit.
First thing I noticed was that there were 3 'taped" wires that do NOT look like something I would expect from the factory. I chased them up the bundle and they were all "shielding" wires. But I really can't be sure about the rest of the wires. It would be really nice if I had a description of the pin-out map for this 54 pin connector. Any help? It would be awesome if I knew for sure what these wires are expected to be, and if any are from the rear camera.
Finally, it would be cool if I knew some handy way to see what the output from the camera "should be" (something I can measure with a micro-tester.)
