How's everyone doing. Has anyone ever experience the truck throwing the front lug covers off repeatedly. My drivers side front wheel has throw three lug covers off over a matter of months. When I put them on they are tight and can't pull off. This is on an 06 250. Thanks
I've lost all three covers so each one has been a new one. Don't have a vibration and tires are pretty aggressive tread. Maybe I'll rotate the tires and see what happens.
I got rid of a 2006 F350 last year - never had one fall off.
Even though you say it’s tight when you pull on it, if you aren’t the original owner, I wonder if the lug nuts aren’t oem and are slightly smaller in diameter than the cover needs.
Maybe bend the clamps on the covers in a little more so that they grab the lug nut a little tighter
Just to be clear - they’re falling off while you’re driving - correct?
If not, and they’re just off your truck when you come out to use it, maybe someone is just messing with you. Even something like a squirrel or other varmit.
Roads are not anything out of the norm. Shocks are probably 8 years old ranchos 9000s. That old thread about the rims seems like it could be my issue. I have those chrome caped rims on my truck.
