Wills are good to have, but we haven't changed ours for years and probably should have it reviewed since the folks we named to be guardians for our kids if something happened to us both are older than we are and the kids are all adults.
Chad, a will is a good idea for the simple reason if something happened to both parents, who do you want to take care of your minor child or children. You can designate someone in a will to become the minor's guardian and conservator to handle both issues regarding consents and living arrangements, but also be in control of the estate until they are an adult. You don't want siblings or grandparents arguing about who is in charge or how the estate is handled if both of you are gone.
