Hey guy I've been using the site for months now and honestly this is the first time I've had a truck I've wanted to improve on but I'm no where near experienced enough to know what I'm doing at all but im trying . But I'm having an issue with what lug nuts I need to get and where to get them I got a 2004 f250 with the 5.4 Triton 4x4 and I got some ion rims for it but the lugs are different and I just dont know what I'm doing and I haul my kids and wife in it and want to be 100 on everything i do to it please any info would be greatly appreciated thanks
Different types of wheels typically use different types of lug nuts. Aftermarket wheels may often use hub centric rings so the wheel fits the hub appropriately.
I disagree about using any type of oil/grease on the wheel studs. This is actually frowned upon by almost every manufacturer (if not all). Just make sure the studs are clean and there's no dirt in the lug nut. If you torque to the manufacturer specification nothing else is needed.

Also, I have aftermarket wheels that don't not use OEM flanged lug nuts. So I keep a set of flanged OEM nuts in truck for use with spare tire, if needed. I keep a socket and breaker bar to fit aftermarket lugs too, since they're a different size from OEM lug wrench.
