i talked to a guy at ford today i was looking for a bearing kit for my front crown and pinion and i told him i had a spicer 50 up front, and he said that i couldnt have a spicer 50 unless i have a mono beam front end. and seeing as i have IFS up front he said that it is a spicer 46. anyone ever heard of a spicer 46???. if so do you know who makes a bearing kit with shims, gear blueing and the works for it??
A guy at Ford told you this?? The Spicer 50 was only made as an IFS and I've never heard of a Spicer 46. I worked in a parts store for 8 years. that Ford guy!! Sounds like he wants you to bring it in for him to work on!!
Spicer made bearings and ring and pinions for the dana series quite a bit, but with the truck you are describing, 92 F-250, you do have the Dana 50 TTB front end. The guy at Ford may be looking at a specific bearing for you truck.
