Sync 3.4

My 2017 Lariat F250 has the Sync 3.4 version in it. I have used it fine for a few months. then all of a sudden the volume would work intermittently and now it has no audio output at all. the local Ford dealership has a guy there that said that the 3.4 version caused the issue and should be only at 3.0. They ordered a module to fix the issue but that didn't work to fix it, now they are waiting on a complete stereo which is on backorder.

Mine is out of warranty, and it was over $1k for a replacement APIM or 1200-1500 for a replacement system.
3.4 is working and keeping my cash in my pocket.....

So I have to ask, I just replaced the battery and now i have no audio what so ever, I have done the master reset, I have banged my head on the steering wheel, nothing has worked as of yet. I feel that I found an answer of it being an anti theft thing, But I got no details. How did you bring your sync three on line?
