Not sure if any of you guys have seen this message on your information screen.
I have a 2020 6.7 Lariat. It just started doing this yesterday after cleaning the interior.
Was not sure if I bumped something but can't see anything.
Checked the owners manual but did not see where they talked about this message.
The truck now feels like it is high idiling and not as low as it was prior.
Feels like it wants to go faster when you just want to creep along on a city street.
Whenever I apply breaks now the message comes up ( Brakes Applied/ Power Reduced )
Any help appreciated.
You have a floor mat or something holding your throttle pedal down a little bit. If you push the throttle and brake at the same time on these trucks they give you that message.
Mine has done that also 2020 250. My mats are no where near the pedal though. I thought it was maybe some type of pre collision type feature as I was in traffic both times.

Most likely you hit the brake and throttle at the same time.
I have a buddy that fought that for months and swore his foot was no where near the brake pedal. I tech finally road with him and showed him the techs computer that he was activating the brake while he thought he was always on the throttle. Big shoes I suppose. And he only did it when in slow traffic.

Gotcha I will be careful then. I do have a habit of driving with both feet!
I'm also a two foot driver. I wonder if that is why my truck stalled a few times, usually accelerating from a stop and making a turn.
I don't remember getting a warning message but I wasn't really looking at the dash at the time.
I had to test this out so I was riding the brakes and didn't get a warning until I reached about 15 mph.

I did it again today, What happened was I tap the brake pedal right on the edge as I also make contact with the gas pedal.
Mine does it sometimes because I drive with two feet and if you have the foot barely on the brake when you accelerate it sends the message. No worries.
Though my reply to this will be viewed by some a reviving a "dead thread", I experienced this same issue the past two weeks. I searched through the forums and found no answer to my question with the exception of "check your floor mats" and "make sure you aren't hitting the brakes at the same time as the gas." I have no clue how you could do the latter unless, as mentioned, you are driving with both feet (aka rally style) or you have HUGE clown-like feet.
I fixed my issue by switching out the brake switch (which was my initial assumption that did not fix the problem) and then getting a new gas pedal from Ford (which fixed the problem).
I hope this helps someone in the future, and keeps them from having to take their truck to the overbooked stealerships.

Great information! Along with this message, intermittently, after shutting off & getting out of truck the brake lights stay on. Usually have to restart & shutoff truck.

Thanks for refreshing the thread. I was just today, coming off an entrance ramp on to I10 and when I attempted to accelerate I got this message and no power until it cleared. Kind of dangerous, I will monitor and keep these fixes in mind. Thanks
I just saw this thread, hope it will help my issue. I was driving this morning and had a small car decide to turn last minute with no warning, applied the brakes hard and the truck also helped with the emergency braking, but right after I could barely move. I had the light come on for brakes applied reduced power but when I finally pulled over to a safe area I found the brake pedal was locked down. Had to pull it up with my foot and little plastic peice broke off? It seemed fine, but as I was driving to make sure I had the light come on again and it felt sluggish. I will have to look under dash and see if I can find what broke off, anyone know about hard braking and this being an issue as well or maybe part of the electric components on brake broke off. Still breaks fine.
