I've taken ownership of my dad's 95 F150. It's the XL with 111k miles on the i6 and five speed manual. Right now I'm just gathering my thoughts on what to do first. He didn't drive it a whole lot and only addressed something if it broke. I'm thinking the transmission needs a fluid change but, I don't know which one it has. It has a new radiator. Would it be advisable to switch it to synthetic oil?
The rest of what I'm thinking is cosmetic. The window and interior door handles are cracking, new tint, eventually new paint because the clear coat is starting to fail in areas and I'm afraid to see what the paint looks like under the drop in bed liner. I might look at a spray on liner but, I'm trying to keep the truck as stock as possible. Oh, and it's a 4x4 and I don't see myself needing it much but, how often should I engage it to keep things in good working order?
I think the manual will tell you to engage 4WD once per month.
Like pbsdaddy said, the "Older, Classic & Antique Trucks" section is the right place to go, specifically the "1987 - 1996 F150 & Larger F-Series Trucks" forum.
